The Avocado Finca of more than 19.000 sqm is truly idyllic in its setting with each season bringing its own delights.
The tropical Finca at the Costa Tropical is situated in an evergreen valey „Rio Seco“, 6 km from the coastal town Almuñécar and is only 15 min. from the town centre. The east and south of the finca is surrounded by a stream. On the terraces we have 300 tropical and subtropical trees and more than 250 vines (Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon und Tempranillo grapes). The finca has various fruit trees: Kaki-, Litchis-, Almond-, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Kumquat, Banana & Orange trees to name but a few and beautiful flowers, mostly fragrant flowers & herbs.
Enjoy beautiful pink and white almond blossom in January/ February, fruit in abundance right through winter and the spring and a warm and sunny climate the whole year. In October the Mangos „Osteen“ are ripening. From November to February is crop season of the Hass avocados. In total the finca produces more than 7 tonnes (average) of tropical fruits. The avocados and mangos are sold to a company in Almuñécar who export tropical fruits to nothern europe. Our parnership with this company is now over 15 years.
The finca has a large water deposit with over 320.000 liters with 3 shares to water sources. There is an automatic drip feed system for fruit trees and flowers.
This is the quality of life in andalusia with your own wine, young vegetable and tropical fruits.
